Description:
Originally composed for two banjos in 1883 by Horace Weston, a Black composer and virtuoso banjoist from Connecticut, this new arrangement captures the spirit of the original while being accessible for younger orchestras. Teaching concepts include playing on the pick-up note (anacrusis), working on hooked bowings (down-up-up), and playing in a waltz-style. A lovely arrangement to introduce your orchestra and audiences to the charming music of Horace Weston.
