Description:
This programmatic work takes the listener on an evening carriage ride through the Carpathian mountains on the eve of a Blood Moon. As the beautiful sights of the ruby red moon stretch out through the night sky beware of what may be lurking ahead.

The main theme played in the first violins swirls starts this journey and transforms throughout the entirety of the piece as the low strings get a stab at playing the main theme as well. Interesting accompaniment figures and rich orchestration create a dark and rich atmosphere.
