Description:
Colors in Motion comes to life with bristling 16th note runs and a heroic, bounding melody. The music dives into a contrasting minor key and flows into a gentle middle section before returning to a dashing, triumphant conclusion. Students will get a chance to play a variety of 6/8 rhythms involving 16th notes, work on their 1st finger extensions with the keys of F major and D minor and experience some moderate part independence. Students will love playing this piece as they master important intermediate-level skills. An optional harp part is included.
