The feature documentary, directed by James Kicklighter, showcasing the story of Lucia Lucas, the first trans opera singer to perform a major work in one of the reddest states in the United States, just won the Programmer’s Award for Excellence at OutShine Miami.
The producers are currently working on distribution plans to release the film.
